Description Pre-64 Winchester model 70 Super Grade bolt action rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. This rifle with S/N: 250990 and dating to 1953 features a 24″ blued barrel with ramped and hooded front blade, flip-up rear v-notch sight, factory drilled and tapped matte blued receiver, and full length diamond checkered walnut stock with ebony forend, raised cheek and steel butt plate. This is topped off with a Leupold 3X9 VARI-X II scope with fine crosshair on a rotary dovetail mount. The stock has been hand carved with a bear on the left side and deer on the right. Condition: Excellent with some thinning at the muzzle and the bolt handle. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, the optics clear and the action functions as expected.
