Description U.S. Springfield 1903 chambered in .30-06 with a five round integral magazine and a 24″ Springfield Armory barrel. The receiver and barrel are dated to 1918 with serial number 1020499 and barrel marked “SA “FLAMING BOMB” “10-18” “A”. “H” marked front barrel band bayonet lug and “U” marked mid band. Blued barrel, receiver, and small parts. Flag style bolt safety and magazine disconnect/removal lever. Adjustable rear ladder sight and fixed front blade. Smooth wood top forend and Type C stock with metal butt plate and sling swivels. Comes with a M1 bayonet and scabbard, both marked with Flaming Bomb proofs. The blade is marked “A.F.H”. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Fair with scratches, scuffs, and finish loss. Heavy metal oxidation and finish patina. Some spots of pitting. The stock has little wear and has been sanded/refinished with faded stock cartouches. The bore is frosted with metal oxidation and shows spots of pitting. Strong visible rifling. The bayonet and scabbard has spots of metal oxidation and heavily patinated metal. The tip of the scabbard is ground down.
