Description Steyr Model 1895 in 8x56mmR with a five round internal magazine box capacity and a 30″ barrel. Made in Austria with no visible import marks on the rifle. Receiver top S marked for the conversion from 8x50mmR to the 8x56mmR. Metal butt plate. Smooth wood stock and front forend. Blued guard, smooth trigger, magazine box, receiver and barrel. Unfinished bolt. Rear left side of bolt serrated safety switch. Rear bolt checkered charging handle. Inside guard located serrated clip release. Rear adjustable and front fixed blade sight. Under barrel fixed bayonet lug. Left of muzzle stacking prong. Metal loops for mounting a shoulder sling. All visible numbers matching. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder.
Condition: Good/Very good with scuffs, scratches, metal oxidation and a wood crack on the top of barrel cover and bottom of butt stock heel. The rifled bore has a moderate grain with strong rifling.
