U.S. Springfield Armory 1903 in 30-06 caliber with a five round internal magazine and a 24″ barrel manufactured in 1918. This bolt action rifle is in very good condition with a covering of grease on the bolt and internal mechanics. The metal butt-plate with bayonet/cleaning kit storage door is empty and in very good condition with light scuffs and scratches. The hardwood stock is in very good condition with moderate field wear no cracks. The wood fore end is in very good condition with light scratches, small dings and chips no cracks. The trigger and magazine plate are in very good condition with a few small nicks and contact scratches. The bolt and receiver are in excellent condition covered in grease and free of damage. The bolt knob has a touch of finish wear from handling. The rear adjustable sight is covered in grease and in excellent functioning condition. The barrel bands are in excellent condition with light scuffs, a lot of finish left. The muzzle and front blade sight are in very good condition with light scratches and contact wear nothing major. The rifle has three swivel loops for mounting a shoulder strap, these are in very good functioning condition. This rifle does not come with a bayonet. The rifled bore has a light grain to it and covered in grease. Tight bolt function and crisp trigger pull.
