The receiver is dated to 1943 with serial number 1953536. The National Match barrel is manufactured by Springfield armory and marked “SA F6535448 12 54 MD 45”. The blued bolt is marked “D28287-12SA S-04″diamond”. Adjustable rear sight and protected front sight post. Parkerized finish with smooth wood stock and top forend. Metal trap door butt plate with cleaning rods/brushes. Front and rear sling swivels and front bayonet lug. Mounted green sling. Comes with a M5 bayonet and M8A1 scabbard. The scabbard is marked “USM8A1” “P.W.H”. The hilt is marked “U.S. M5” “IMPERIAL” with National Match stamp. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very good with scratches, scuffs, sharp edge wear, and general finish wear from handling, operation, and age. Some spots of metal oxidation. Very light wear on the stock. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling. The bayonet shows scratches, scuffs, and wear from handling/use. Spots of metal oxidation on the blade and scabbard.
