The rifle is in very good overall condition. The butt-plate is in fair condition with moderate, scuffs, scratches and metal oxidation. The two piece hardwood stock spliced at the fore end is in fair condition with a crack on the butt and a spliced hardwood wedge added to the heel. The wood fore end is in very good condition with dings, scuffs and light scratches throughout no cracks. The magazine box and trigger are in very good condition with light finish wear, scratches and dings. The bolt and receiver are in very good condition with light surface scratches, dings and finish wear. The rear adjustable sight is in excellent functioning condition free of damage or scratches. The barrel bands are in excellent condition tight fitting and free of oxidation. The cleaning rod is stuck in rifle and otherwise in very good condition. The muzzle and front sight are in good condition with a touch of metal oxidation and light field wear. The four loops for mounting a shoulder strap are in very good functioning condition free of damage. The rifled bore has a light grain to it. This rifle does not come with a bayonet. Tight bolt action and smooth trigger pull.
