Description Remington model Rolling Block single shot breach loading rifle chambered in .50-70 Govt. This example features a 35″ barrel with fixed front bead and tangent rear rifle sight, 3-band forearm, cleaning rod and smooth buttstock with steel butt plate. The numbers “1 / 35” are stamped in the right side of the stock and the numbers “1 / 30” are stamped in the left side. The letter “C” is stamped just rear of the upper tang and between the lower tang and sling swivel. There is no serial number visible. Antique.
Condition: Good condition with solid wood. The bore is dark but with visible rifling. The actions functions properly. The rear sight has a small bend but should be an easy repair.
