This Model 1894 hammerless SxS shotgun serial number matching on the frame, barrels and forend. Original 30″ Solid rib Damascus barrels with a single ivory front bead (middle bead was removed). Choked IM/IM. Barrel flats are proofed and marked “EE” in three spots. Water table has serial and letter “C”. Splinter fore end. Ejectors. Automatic safety. Finely engraved receiver with scroll and game scene of dog. Pistol grip stock with pommel cap and silver name plate on bottom engraved “W. J. Pennell / Auburn, ME”. Missing butt plate. Includes second unmatched barrel set measuring just over 25″ choked Cylinder on both sides. C&R eligible (Date of mfg is unattainable for antique status).
Condition: Antique Fair, In need of restoration. Splotches of rust all around barrel and receiver. Missing horn butt plate. Bores are bright and shiny with no dents or bulges. Action is gummed and stiff. Stock has 100+ years of dings and wear although it appears to be crack free. Forend has crack repair at tip. Bbl set #2 is in similar condition as set #1.
