Six shot blued percussion revolver. Well known for its service during the civil war, this one is not martial marked and appears to be export marked (crown over V on breech and barrel). Pinched front sight. Single letter inspection marks on many pieces. Silver trigger guard. 8″ octagon barrel and nicely fitted walnut grips. Serial 108779 on the frame and matches on the barrel. Antique, ships directly to buyers home.
Condition: Bluing is strong 60+% with the right side and grip areas having the most loss. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling and hardly any defects. Cylinder does not reliably advance when the hammer is cocked. Silver trigger guard is not consistent with the model but fits well and looks original. Grips are good, matching serial in pencil and have no apparent cracks.
