.36 caliber, six shot blued percussion revolver with an unfluted cylinder. Well known for its service during the civil war, this one falls in the correct serial number range for purchase by the Navy however it is not martial marked. Pinched front sight. Single letter inspection marks on many pieces. silver plated brass trigger guard. 7.5″ octagon barrel and nicely fitted walnut grips. Serial 29865 on the frame and matches on the barrel. In use as a competition gun by the previous owner. Antique, ships directly to buyers home.
Condition: Antique Very Good. Bluing is about 30%. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling and hardly any defects. Silver left on the trigger guard. Mechanically excellent with tight lock up and timed well. Grips are very good, and have no apparent cracks.
