UPDATED: “Pitted and poor bore” Description German GEW98 in 7.92×57 (8mm Mauser) with a three round capacity and a 29″ barrel. This bolt action rifle was made in Berlin Germany and marked “Berlin 1906”. Metal butt plate with moderate heavy patina and wear. Wood stock has dings, scratches and heavy wear consistent with mil surplus weapons. Receiver and bolt have oxidation and light pitting. Trigger and magazine plate have heavy wear and deep patina. Barrel and bayonet lug with metal oxidation and heavy wear. Comes with, bayonet, scabbard and bandoleer with rounds. Bandoleer is marked “August 1918” Pitted and poor bore. and smooth bolt function. Matching Serial numbers on the Trigger Guard, Follower, Bolt, Stock, Rear Sight, Barrel, Receiver, both barrel bands. Bayonet and Floorplate non-matching, Buttplate illegible. Must be shipped to FFL or C&R holder.
