The Serial Number and features of the gun are outlined in the letter. The letter is hand signed. Features: 6″ Ribbed Barrel with a Serrated tapered top rib. Pinned Partridge Front Sight, adjustable rear sight. Case Colored Checkered hammer and Serrated trigger. Five-Screw, Pinned Barrel and Recessed Cylinder. Serial Number K prefix 62626 (nice radar serial number) can be found on the butt, the barrel, the cylinder and the back of the star extractor. Frame and Yoke are marked: 8 3 68239. Smooth Rosewood Grips with Smith and Wesson Medallion. Condition is excellent. The original high polish blue rates 96%+ with slight muzzle wear, and a little thinning on high points of the cylinder. There is a light turn line. There is a faint contact mark right side of frame on the cover. The grips are smooth, clean and original. The function is excellent. Bore and cylinders are clean and shiny. General Curtis Lemay was a general in the United States Air Force, and the vice-presidential running mate of American Independent Party candidate George Wallace in the 1968 presidential election.
