Well kept and wonderful craftsmanship on this English under lever, hammer double rifle from Alexander Henry of London (co inventor of the Martini – Henry action). Known maker to royalty and this gun is no exception. Originally commissioned in May of 1898 by His Highness the Maharaja of Dewas (a Princely state of India). Gun is accompanied with copy of original ledger as provenance with matching specifications. Sporting a 28″ chain link Damascus barrels, blade front sight and 2 leaf express rear sight. English splinter forend hinged to a “Best” quality side lock hammer receiver. Underlever action. Signature tight and dense scroll work covering frame with Alex. Henry name sake on sides. Striped walnut pistol grip rifle stock with cheek cut and rubber (recent) recoil pad. Comes with original hardwood trunk with recently restored gator covering. Many tools, original lead bullet mold, bullet castings to confirm case length (3″). Antique, Ships direct to buyers home.

Condition: Excellent original antique condition. Barrels have a pleasant espresso patina with the Damascus figure showing. Bores have sharp rifling with light frosting. Mates with frame tightly with no play. Receiver and engraving is hand worn. Hammers and action are fit and excellent. wood is crack free and lacks any major imperfections. Only some light storage scratches. Case exterior is excellent as restored, interior is very good.
