Description Enfield percussion pistol in .69 caliber with a 8″ octagonal barrel. Lock marked “V.R. Crown, 1859 ENFIELD, Crown arrow and 4”. Brass Trigger guard, butt plate, and front ramrod guide all hallmarked “4 Crown E 6”. Ramrod swivel marked same. Barrel marked “Crown Arrow, E Crown 18, WD” Front and rear fixed sights. This was brought back by a US soldier from Afghanistan in 2008 and comes with the import customs affidavit paper from Bagram Airfield. It is the sister gun to the previous lot, and the affidavit is an original copy with the incorrect gun listed on it. Consignor reports that this gun was being fired at US Troops immediately prior to its capture. Antique, Black Powder No FFL required and ships to buyers home. Condition: Surprisingly solid with traces of original blue finish in low places, good function, surprisingly clean bore, with some light, thin rust and old caked oil.
