Description Colt Frontier Six-Shooter Single Action Army chambered in .44-40 Winchester with a six-shot cylinder and a 5.5″ barrel. Manufactured in 1909 with serial number 311045. Patinated blued barrel, fluted cylinder, single action trigger, trigger guard, and grip frame. Patinated case colored frame and hammer. Mother of pearl grips with a carved bull in the right grip. Fixed iron sights with a rear notch and fixed front blade. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and butt. The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT FRONTIER SIX-SHOOTER .44-40”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT F.A. MFG Co HARTFORD CT U.S.A.” The left side of the frame is marked “PAT SEPT 19 1871 JULY 2 73 JAN 19 75”. Comes with a leather holster and gun belt. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good with gray and brown finish patina on the blued and case colored parts. Most of the case coloring is lost with some spots still visible. Speckling and spots of metal oxidation throughout. Finish loss towards the muzzle and on the sharp edges. Scratches and dings in the grips. Wear on the sharp edges. Some cracks on the bottom of the grips. A chip in the top right of the right grip. Bright bore with strong rifling, could use a little cleaning.
