Trending and raising to infamy the Winchester trench shotgun was a favorite during WWI for its “slamfire” action. Being able to repeatedly fire by holding down the trigger and simply pumping the action. This example was a built or put together gun. It lacks any US inspection marks. The marking under the heat shield show a “Full” choke crossed out and replaced with “CYL”. Heat shield fit and finish does not match the rest of the gun. Action is smooth. Bayonet lug looks aftermarket. Bayonet is original M1917 type. Sling is period. C&R ELIGIBLE
