Description UPDATE: This is a Model No.2 NOT a 1 1/2….Remington Rolling Block Model 2 chambered in .32 Rim Fire with a single round capacity and a 25″ octagonal barrel. Contoured metal butt plate with matching serial number. Smooth walnut stock and Schanbel forend with ebony inlay. Case colored trigger guard and block. Blued smooth trigger, checkered hammer, checkered rolling block and octagonal barrel. Rear adjustable and front fixed blade sight. Underside of barrel marked 32. The butt plate, block tang and barrel all have matching serial numbers. Five line patent dates: May 3 1864, May 7 June 11, Nov 12 Dec 24, Dec 31 1872, Sept 9 1873. Antique No FFL required and ships to buyers home.
Condition: Excellent with a few scattered and minor marks from handling. Exhibits most of the original finish with some light thinning on the high spots. The receiver still shows vivid case coloring. The bore is bright with sharp rifling showing a light grain with some scattered pitting in a spot close to muzzle end.
