This 1972 Browning Medalist made in Belgium in 22 long rifle is in very good condition MINUS the magazine. The solid walnut hand grip has been changed from factory to an older model grip without the left hand or right handed thumb rest. Grip is in good condition with a small crack on the back-strap where the gun meets the grip and a scuff on the left side by the grip screw. Walnut fore-end grip is in good condition with a small nick to the finish on the lower left side and allover handling wear. Blue finish frame is in very good condition with a few light handling scuffs to the finish. Slide is in very good condition with a small scratch on the right side and a few scuffs from use. Vent rib barrel and gold trigger are in very good condition. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade are in excellent condition with no heavy wear or damage. This pistol has Belgian proofs and markings. They are as follows: on the right side of frame “Made IN BELGIUM 22 L.R.” on the hand grip of frame the serial number, on the left side of barrel “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY” on the underside of barrel “BROWNING’S PATENT” then 3 proof marks, a star and a “Y” a “lion and P.V.” and B.L.G. in a crown. NO magazine.
