Mosin Nagant M91/59 Izhevsk in 7.62x54R with a five round internal capacity and a 21″ barrel. This Mosin is called a “sanitized” M91/59 because it has been refurbished and a large amount of the original proofs have been shaved off. This bolt action rifle is in very good overall condition. The metal butt-plate is in very good condition with light surface scuffs and scratches. The one piece hardwood stock is in excellent condition, with a few small scratches no cracks or chips. The magazine box and trigger are in excellent condition with a few light surface scratches, lots of finish. The bolt and receiver are in very good condition with light scuffs no large finish scratches or wear. The bolt knob has a touch of metal oxidation smooth to touch. The rear adjustable sight is in excellent functioning condition, no damage. The barrel bands are in excellent condition with tons of finish left. The brass fore end caps are in good condition, covered in green brass oxidation need a good cleaning. The muzzle and front hooded sight are in excellent condition with no finish damage or deep scratches. The rifled bore has a medium amount of grain to it. Tight smooth bolt action and clean trigger pull. The rifle is mounted with two eye holes for a shoulder strap, they are in good functioning condition no damage. The cleaning rod is stuck in rifle and otherwise in very good condition. This rifle has its surplus tag still on it.
