U.S. Model 1917 Eddystone in 30-06 caliber with a five round internal magazine made in 1917. This bolt action rifle has British lend lease proof marks on it. The rifle is in very good condition with light all-over wear. The metal butt-plate with hinged door for cleaning kit storage. This rifle has a metal tube cleaning kit with small cleaning brush, still in the butt. The hardwood stock is in very good condition with moderate field wear throughout, no cracks. The wood fore end is in very good condition with scuffs, scratches and nicks, no cracks or large damage. The magazine plate and trigger are in good condition with finish wear and a few dings from hard contact. The bolt and receiver are in very good condition with light wear to the finish no major scratches or contact marks. The rear adjustable sight is in excellent functioning condition free of damage. The barrel bands are in very good condition with light finish wear, the rear is held in place by a small metal stud. The muzzle and front blade sight are in good condition with heavy finish wear and a few light dings. This rifle does not come with a bayonet. The rifled bore has a moderate grain to it. Tight bolt action and smooth trigger pull.
