Mosin Nagant M44 in 7.62x54R with a five round internal magazine capacity and a 20″ barrel made in 1944. This bolt action rifle is in very good condition. The metal butt-plate is in fair condition with the paint flaking off and a touch of metal oxidation. The bolt and receiver are in good condition with light scuffs, scratches and metal oxidation throughout. The magazine box and trigger are in good condition with scuffs, scratches and light metal pitting under the finish. The rear adjustable sight is in excellent functioning condition with no damage or oxidation. The wood fore end is in fair condition with a crack along its length on both lower sides. The front and rear barrel bands are in good condition with a buildup of wood stain on them. The muzzle and front blade sight are in very good condition with light all-over wear. The bayonet on this rifle is in excellent condition with great function and finish. The rifle has two spots for mounting a shoulder strap. The cleaning rod is stuck in this rifle but otherwise in very good condition. The rifled bore has a medium amount of grain to it.
