Description World War II Remington 03-A3 chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a five round internal magazine and a 24″ barrel. Manufactured in 1943 with serial number 3908003. The barrel is also dated 1943 and stamped “R.A. (FLAMING BOMB PROOF) 7-43”. Parkerized barrel, receiver, magazine floorplate, trigger, trigger guard, and bolt with flag style safety. Receiver mounted magazine cut off. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade. Smooth wood forend and straight grip with with metal trap door butt plate. The left side of the stock is stamped with Springfield Armory Cross Cannons, “RA” and “FJA” Frank J Atwood acceptance cartouche. The bottom of the stock is stamped with circled “P”. Other small cartouches forward of the magazine floor plate. Front and rear sling swivels. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good with light scratches, edge wear, and general cosmetic handling wear. Some darkening and discoloration on the parkerization. Spots and speckling of metal oxidation. Heavier metal oxidation on the butt plate. Normal wear on the operational parts from use. The stock has been sanded and refinished, most markings are still visible but dull. Light scratches and wear on the wood. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling.
