Description World War Two Colt M1911A1 chambered in .45 ACP with one, seven round removable magazine and a 5″ Colt barrel. Manufactured in 1942 with serial number 761873, part of a batch of 36,924 pistols, serial numbers 756734-793657. Parkerized finish with checkered brown polymer stocks. N Mold numbers “2” on the inside of the left grip and “4” on the right grip, with reinforcing rings and ribs on the left. Steel frame with checkered mainspring housing and lanyard loop. Single action trigger and hammer. Frame mounted thumb safety and grip safety. “P” proof mark to the right of the magazine catch. Boxed “W.B.” Waldemar S. Brobeg inspection stamp on the left side of the frame. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with “T” over “VP” Verified Proof mark. The right side of the trigger guard is stamped with “84” assemblers proof. The right side of the frame is stamped with “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” over the serial number, and forward of that is stamped “M1911 U.S. ARMY”. The top of the frame forward of the hammer is marked with “H” and “C”. Serrated Colt slide with fixed iron sights. The left side of the slide has the Colt two line/two block patent marks with Rampant Colt logo in-between. The barrel is full blued and marked “COLT 45 AUTO” on the left side. “P” Proof mark on the left lug. The bottom of the barrel forward of the lug is marked with “G”. The bottom of the magazine is marked “19200- ASSY 5508694 MFR. 50745”. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Overall Very Good with general light scratches, high edge wear, and cosmetic handling wear. Some small light spots of metal oxidation/pitting on the slide and under the grips. Some discoloration on the parkerization from age/oil. Wear on the internal/moving parts from normal operation. Light scratches and wear on the grips. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling.
