Description World War II Remington 03-A3 chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a five round internal magazine and a 24″ barrel. Manufactured in 1943 with serial number 4033955. The barrel is also dated 1943 and stamped “R.A. (FLAMING BOMB PROOF) 4-43”. Parkerized barrel, receiver, magazine floorplate, trigger, trigger guard, and bolt with flag style safety. Receiver mounted magazine cut off. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade. Smooth wood forend and straight grip with with metal trap door butt plate. The left side of the stock is stamped with a faded “FJA” Frank J Atwood acceptance cartouche. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Fair/Good with scratches, sharp edge wear, contact marks, and handling wear. Spots of metal oxidation and finish patina throughout. Very heavy metal oxidation on the butt plate and and sling clips. Scratches, scuffs, and dings in the wood The rear of the stock has water damage with cracks. Misaligned barrel bands. Wood repair on the front bottom handguard. The stock has been sanded and refinished. Decent bright bore with strong rifling, has some light frosting of metal oxidation.
