Description WWI Springfield Armory model 1911 semi auto pistol chambered in .45 ACP with S/N 81226 and manufactured in 1915 this example features a 5″ barrel with fixed front blade and u-notch rear sight and diamond and checkered walnut grip panels. The frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” with flaming bomb. The slide is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A.” with flaming bomb on the left side and the right “MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY” with Eagle. Included is one two-tone magazine with lanyard loop and letters “VA” stamped on the base plate. Must Ship to FFL or C&R holder.
Condition: Overall Fair with little finish remaining on the frame and slide. The grips are worn and there is a scratch in the right panel. The bore shows signs of corrosive ammo use but still has some brightness and visible rifling and the function is as expected.
