Description World War II German Berlin Lubecker duv code Gewehr 43 chambered in 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser) with one, ten round removable box magazine and a 21.7″ barrel. Manufactured in 1944 with serial number 4978e. Patinated blued barrel, barrel band, receiver, bolt, charging handle, trigger, and trigger guard. Paddle magazine release and rear safety lever. Scope rail on the right side of the receiver. Adjustable rear ladder sight and fixed front blade. Smooth wood top forend and pistol grip stock with cupped trap door metal butt plate. The receiver and bolt are stamped serial number matching. The Bolt, firing pin carrier, locking flaps, gas cylinder, and action cover are all serial number matching but in electro pencil. Waffenamt 214 stamps are marked on the receiver, multiple bolt parts, twice on the barrel, rear sight, and other small parts. Third Reich Eagle stamp on the receiver, bolt parts, and barrel. The stock appears to have been sanded and refinished with a faded Eagle stamp on the right side of the stock. The barrel is marked “CB” and “J”. The magazine is a Olympia Buromaschinenwerke, code aye with WaAB34 Waffenamt and stamped “K43”. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very good with most of the finish being Patinated with spots of metal oxidation and pitting as well. General wear from normal handling and operation. Light scratches and dings on the wood, appears to have been sanded at some point.
