Description Desirable WWI Colt PTFA Model of 1911 US Army semi auto pistol chambered in .45 caliber with one seven round removable magazine and a 5″ barrel. Manufactured in 1917 this features a “P/H” marked barrel, fixed front blade, flat top notched rear sight, two-line and two block address with patent marking on the left side of the slide and Rampant Colt logo rear of serrations, “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” marking on left side of frame, circled “GHS” inspection mark on left side of frame rear of trigger, long and smooth solid trigger, checkered hammer, slide catch, safety, and magazine catch, double diamond checkered grips, short grip safety, and smooth, flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Included is one “R” marked two-tone magazine with a two pin base. Ships to FFL/C&R only. Condition: Overall Very Good with a few small and scattered nicks and dings from handling. There is finish loss on the high spots and relatively even on the slide and frame presenting it as a nice original and honest example. The bore is clean with just a very slight hint of frosting and strong rifling and the action functions as expected.
