Description Wurfflein Philadelphia marked Model 1849 German Navy musket made by shuhl in Germany in .71 caliber with a single round capacity and a 41″ barrel. Made in Germany and sold to the Philadelphia Home Guard during the Civil War. Brass butt plate. Smooth wood stock and front foregrip. Brass trigger guard. Blued untextured trigger, checkered hammer, lock and barrel. Brass barrel bands. Front and rear fixed sights. Under barrel push/cleaning rod. Metal loops for mounting a shoulder sling. The butt plate is marked 597 30 L.W.R. 3 C 1830. The push rod is marked 875. Antique, No FFL required and ships to buyers home.
Condition: Good/Very good with finish wear/loss, hairline cracks in stock and metal oxidation/pitting. The smooth bore has a light grain to it.
