The Model 1903 was replaced by the Model 63 in 1933. This rifle Manufactured in 1936 has a dovetail front sight and elevation adjustable sporting rear sights, and is mounted on a smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with tubular magazine and smooth butt plate. The left side of the barrel has the Winchester trade mark information and “MODEL 63 .22 LONG RIFLE/SUPER SPEED AND SUPER X”. Nice binary serial number 10010. The rifle retains 85%+ blue finish (possibly original) with some high edge wear and a few minor marks and scratches. Left side of the receiver has been tapped and the holes have screws at present, finish removed after tapping and light patina developing. The wood is cleaned or expertly refinished, with some small dings and only a few slight scratches/pressure marks. Buttplate shows areas of vigorous cleaning.
