Description Desirable Winchester model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in .30-06. This John Browning design box magazine lever action rifle manufactured in 1924 features a 22″ barrel with fixed front blade, missing rear folding ladder sight but replaced with a Redfield graduated peep, finger grooved hardwood forearm, and smooth hardwood stock with carbine style steel trapdoor butt plate. The receiver has the caliber designation “.30/GOV./06.” below the Winchester factory oval proof on the chamber and a two-line Winchester legend on the left side of the receiver. The upper tang has the three-line model/make/trade mark information. Ships to FFL/C&R only. Condition: There is considerable finish loss on the barrel as well as the receiver, magazine, boss, and lever. The stocks have been sanded and the top handguard looks to be a replacement with evidence of repair. As noted, the rear ladder sight is missing and sling swivels have been added.
