Known as the “American Enfield”, the US M1917 was an adaptation of the British P14 Enfield to accept the .30-06 round. This example has the original barrel to the receiver however the bolt is different. Also, it has import marks which means it was originally shipped out of the country to a foreign army and then imported back as surplus.
Good antique condition. Mechanically very good. Wood and metal are of typical mil surp condition. Bore is excellent.
