Description Standard Weight Winchester 70 Super Grade chambered in .22 Hornet with a 24″ barrel. Pre-64 made in 1949. Blued barrel, receiver, and controls. Diamond checkered walnut stock with Monte Carlo style comb and checkered metal butt plate. Bolt mounted safety lever. Ramped beaded front blade with sight hood. The receiver is mounted with a Weaver K10 scope and weaver scope rings. Front and rear sling eyelets. The left side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN U.S. OF AMERICA / WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL -WINCHESTER- TRADE MARK / MODEL-70 22 HORNET”. Winchester “WP” proof mark is marked on the left side of the barrel and the receiver. Floorplate marked with Weak “SUper Grade” stamp. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very Good, Retains most of its finish with some light spots of finish loss. Varying sized spots of metal oxidation, some light speckling on the the receiver. The larger spots are found toward the front of the barrel/muzzle, as well as the magazine floorplate and trigger guard. The wood is solid with some scratches, scuffs, and dings. The checkering is still sharp and in great shape. The bore is very clean with strong rifling. The scope has clear and intact glass.
