Description Desirable Winchester model 1894 Deluxe Takedown rifle chambered in .30 WCF (.30-30). According to the Cody Firearms Museum, serial number 256861 was applied on February 27th, 1905. This Extra Light example shipped with a 24″ barrel and subsequent repair and return orders would indicate factory rework to its current length of 22″. This half length magazine tube model is outfitted with a dovetailed and bone tipped front blade, folding leaf rear sight and tang mounted peep. The stocks are oil finished diamond checkered marble grained walnut with the forearm measuring 8-3/8″. Ships to FFL/C&R only. Condition: Excellent with the barrel, magazine tube, and bolt retaining 95% of the original finish. The receiver shows thinning around the top and bottom. The hammer and lever still retain a great deal of the original case coloring. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and the action tight, and functions as expected.
