Description One of the first two prototype Wildey Pistols, uniquely marked “Cold Springs, New York” Created by Bellmore Johnson Tool Co. of New Haven CT. Although not mentioned by serial, this is the 9mm Magnum is featured in “Wildey’s here” chapter 11. Chambered in the scarce 9mm Winchester Magnum, with a 6″ fluted top rib vented barrel. Checkered hardwood grip plates. Milled steel frame, wide trigger and hammer. Serrated slide and barrel. Magwell located magazine release. Left side of frame serrated slide release and de-cocking lever. Barrel located gas adjustment system. Rear adjustable and front fixed blade sight. Must ship to a FFL holder. Condition: Good/Very Good with light scratches, wood grips do not stay affixed, missing magazine and the action does not function properly. Rear barrel rib screw missing. Clean rifled bore. Wildey worked in the firearms business since the 1950’s as a gunsmith, Ed Argamonte’s, as a Salesman for Winchester, Stoeger, J.J. Tobler and Forenade Fabrikverken. Eventually setting out on his own to design and create the Wildey Survivor. The Survivor was most famously featured in the classic 1985 Movie Death Wish 3 with Charles Bronson.
