Description Webley & Scott Government Army Model in .455/476 caliber (.455 Webley) with a six round capacity and a 6″ barrel. Checkered wood grip plates. Blued frame, cylinder and barrel. Unfinished trigger and checkered hammer. Left side of frame checkered barrel tip up lever. Bottom of pistol grip located lanyard loop. Front and rear fixed sights. This revolver is engraved on the backstrap and top left side of frame. Backstrap marked: Lieutenant W.B. Garnett C.I.V. ( City Imperial Volunteers). Marked on the center top of barrel: Army & Navy C.S.L. -( Co-Operative Society Limited) This was a Department/Surplus store that sold guns and accessories to Military personnel and citizens. Marked on the top left side of barrel: “WG” Army MODEL. Lieutenant Garnett was a English Infantry volunteer during the Second Anglo Boer War. Matching serial number on the frame, barrel and grip underside. Possibly mismatched cylinder with Caliber 455 and the number 805 on the inside of the cylinder face. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Good with scratches, finish wear/loss. cracked missing piece off the right grip plate and spots of rust. Clean rifled bore.
