The side plate is marked “1863” “U.S. SPRINGFIELD”. The butt plate “U.S’. Some small parts are marked “U”. Miss the trapdoor lever and other small parts so the trap door moves freely and cannot be locked. The hammer and trigger do not function. Likely mismatched parts. Antique ships directly to buyers home in MOST states. Condition: Poor mainly due to missing parts and not functioning. Spots of finish thinning, patina, metal oxidation, and patina.
