Description U.S. Springfield Armory 1898 Krag Jorgenson chambered in .30-40 Krag with a five round internal magazine and a 30″ barrel. Manufactured in 1899 with serial number 209751. Blued barrel and barrel bands with front bayonet lug. Blued receiver, bolt, magazine, trigger, and trigger guard. Rear flag style bolt safety. Adjustable rear ladder sight and fixed front blade. Smooth wood top forend and straight grip stock. Metal butt plate with trap door. Front and rear sling swivels. Must ship to a FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Overall good having been completely reblued with varying spots of metal oxidation on and under the finish. Light scratches, contact marks, and general handling wear. Normal internal wear from operation. The stock has been sanded and refinished as well with light scratches and wear. Some thin small cracks on the top hand guard and front of the forend. The rear sight is missing a spring or pin and is loose. The bore is okay, it shows a decent amount of spots of metal oxidation and pitting. The rifling is still relatively strong considering the age.
