Description United States Historical Society U.S. Cavalry Commemorative Percussion Revolver chambered in .44 caliber with a six-shot cylinder and a 8″ barrel. Manufactured in Italy by Uberti and Issued by the U.S. Historical Society. Glossy blued barrel, ramp rod, frame, cylinder, trigger, and hammer. Both sides of the barrels are gold inlayed with “UNITED STATES CAVALRY” with crossed sabers on either side. The cylinder is gold overlayed with Cavalry scenes. Brass/gold trigger guard and front strap. Stag grips. Rear hammer notch and front fixed blade iron sights. Comes in its wood hard case with gold plated belt buckle. Buckle is marked USHS 1988. The case is blue velvet lined with internal plaque that reads “UNITED STATES CAVALRY COMMEMORATIVE REVOLVER ISSUED BY UNITED STATES HISTORICAL SOCIETY. The top of the case has a inlayed Cavalry seal. Black powder ships directly to MOST buyers homes. Condition: Like new, appears to have never been used. Very faint handling wear. Some tiny hard to see specks of metal oxidation from storage. Bright and clean bore with strong rifling. Some light scratches and wear on the case. The top of the case has some thin cracks/deep scratches above the seal.
