Description WWII era Colt PTFA model 1911 A1 Military semi auto pistol chambered in .45 caliber with one, seven round removable magazine and a 5″ barrel. Manufactured in 1943 and reworked as a National Match pistol, this example features a “NM” marked barrel serialized to the pistol marked “P” and “C” on the lug, custom serrated front blade and “Micro” cross cannon proofed adjustable rear sight, “P” and punch marked slide with two-line and two block address with patent marking on the left side of the slide separated by Rampant Colt logo, “FJA” and “P” inspection mark on the left side of frame. “NM” and “2” stamped on right side of trigger guard along with US Property markings cross cannon, “SA”, and “T” stamped on right side of frame, checkered hammer and slide stop, serrated thumb safety and magazine stop, custom lightened adjustable trigger, long grip safety, serrated mainspring housing, stippled front grip strap, and diamond checkered grip panels. Included is a “R” marked magazine that has been electro penciled serial matching the pistol. Ships to FFLC&R Only. Condition: Overall Very Good as refinished with a few small and scattered nicks and dings from handling some thinning on the high spots. The bore is bright with crisp rifling and the action functions as expected. The trigger and reset on this example is outstanding for a 1911A1.
