Description Smith & Wesson US Army Model 1917 D. A. 45 revolver in .45 ACP with a 5.5″ pinned barrel and a 6 shot capacity. Blued frame, cylinder, and barrel. Heel marked “US ARMY MODEL 1917” with serial number 88129. Eagle “S2” proofed under crane with number “59934.” Eagle “S9” proofed left side of frame behind trigger guard. Top left frame marked with a Flaming Bomb. Cylinder face marked with serial number and Eagle “S24.” Under barrel marked with serial number and then the letter S on the flat. Non original diamond checkered target stocks. Missing lanyard loop. Must ship to C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Good showing signs of being refinished. With lots of scratching and some oxidation throughout the revolver. Visible turn line. Some finish loss at the muzzle. Wood has a spot of varnish loss. Clean, and bright rifled bore. Action is tight and stiff possibly from being refinished. Inside of both grips are marked by the original owner.
