Made in Springfield Massachusetts between 1951-1957. Checkered diamond wood grip plates. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled hammer. Black anodized alloy frame and cylinder. Black finished steel barrel. Left side of frame serrated cylinder release. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. U.S. Property marked on the backstrap. Mismatched serialized parts. Model name on the top of frame. S&W made around 40,000 of these and most were later destroyed. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Poor with scratches, heavy finish wear/loss, mismatched parts, replaced parts, cylinder does not open properly and the cylinder stud does not lock into frame. Clean rifled bore.
