Description Smith & Wesson model 1917 in .45 caliber with a six shot capacity and a 5.5″ barrel. This model 1917 was sold to Brazil in 1937 for use and then sold back to the USA for civilian sale. Checkered S&W wood grip plates. Black finished frame, cylinder and barrel. Serrated trigger and checkered hammer. Fixed front blade sight. Left side of frame checkered cylinder release button. Right side of frame marked with the Brazilian seal. Backstrap marked 11765. Cylinder face marked 193794 BNP. Under the grips marked of the frame, right side: B N P. The left under grip marked Ridgefield NJ N. R. Marked under barrel BNP, 45 ACP. Marked in front of trigger guard BNP. This revolver must ship to a C&R or FFL holder.
Condition: Good with scuffs and scratches throughout. This revolver has been refinished at some point. The grip screw has been damaged by removal. Grip plates have chips in them. The rifled bore is pitted.
