Description Smith & Wesson 2nd Model Single Shot chambered in .22 long rifle with a single shot capacity and a 10″ ribbed barrel. This example shows 2nd model characteristics such as no recoil shield and only one pin, but is serial number 21799. This is likely a transition piece between the 1st and 2nd model S&W single shots. Blued barrel and frame. Case colored trigger, trigger guard, and textured hammer. Black hard rubber target stocks with S&W monographs. Square notch rear sight and fixed partridge style front blade. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good, retaining much of its blue finish with some spots of patina and finish wear/loss near the muzzle, and on the high/sharp edges. Most of the case colored finish has patinated or been lost. The finish overall has varying sized spots of metal oxidation/pitting. The lettering is still visible and relatively crisp considering the age. The rear of the grips have cracks on both sides of the grips and the right grip is missing a piece. With this the grips are still attached to the frame and do not appear to have any wobble or flex to them. The bore is very clean with strong rifling.
