Manufactured in 1985 with serial number EMK1388, making this number 1388 of only 2500 made. Blued barrel, frame, and fluted cylinder with gold inlay. The right side of the barrel is marked “ELMER KEITH COMMEMORATIVE 1899-1984, 44 MAGNUM”. The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON 44 Magnum. The left side of the frame is marked “1 OF 2,500”. The right side of the frame is acid etched with a image of Elmer Keith and inlayed with his signature in gold. The cylinder is marked “SALMON IDAHO”, AND “”Hell I Was There””. Checkered cylinder release. Case colored target trigger and hammer. Smooth wood grips with S&W monograms. Adjustable rear U-notch and fixed red front blade iron sights. Comes in a wood case with manual. Must ship to a FFL holder. Condition: Very Good with very light scratches and general cosmetic handling wear. Light cylinder turn line and operational wear. Light scratches and some finish loss on the grips.
