Description Smith & Wesson Model of 1917 Hand Ejector Double Action Brazilian Contract revolver in .45 ACP with a six round capacity and a 5.5″ barrel. Made in Springfield Massachusetts in 1937. Import marked on the underside of barrel by CAI. ST. ALB. VT. One of only 25,000 revolvers sent to Brazil and marked with the countries crest and date 1937 on the right side of frame. This revolver falls within the serial number range for the first shipment sent in 1938. Checkered wood grip plates with right side plate having matching serial number to frame on the reverse side. Blued frame, cylinder and barrel. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled hammer. Left side of frame knurled cylinder release. Bottom of pistol grip located lanyard loop. Rear notch and front fixed blade sight. Serial number matching on the frame, cylinder, rear of right grip plate and underside of barrel. Must ship to a C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Good with scratches, wood dings/damage to grip plates, muzzle wear, finish wear/loss and spots of rust. Clean rifled bore.
