Description OEWG (Steyr) I.G. Model 1871 chambered in 11.15x60mmR (.43 Mauser) with a single shot capacity and a 33 5/8″ barrel. Dated to 1873, marked on the right side of the receiver. Front bayonet lug and cleaning rod. Adjustable rear sight and fixed front blade. Straight bolt handle and flag style safety. Smooth full length straight grip stock with metal butt plate. Front and rear sling swivels. Crown over FW proof on the left side of the barrel. Many other small proof marks throughout. The right side of the stock is stamped “E.N.”. Seems to be mostly matching with some mismatched small parts and screws. Antique ships directly to MOST buyers home. Condition: Antique Fair/Good with most of the finish being in the white with spots of metal oxidation and patina throughout. Scratches, contact marks, and handling wear. Normal internal wear from operation. Heavier spots of metal oxidation on the butt plate. Scratches, scuffs, and dings on stock. The bore is bright and mostly clean with some spots of pitting.
