Description U.S. Springfield Armory 1896 Krag Jorgensen Saddle Ring Carbine in .30-40 Krag with a five round capacity and a 22.5″ barrel. This carbine was made as a aftermarket rifle cut down to a carbine length. Unmarked rear sight base. Metal butt plate with cleaning rod door, empty. Smooth wood stock and front forend. Blued trigger guard, trigger, receiver, magazine box and barrel. Left side of receiver saddle ring. Rear bolt safety switch. Rear flip up adjustable and front fixed blade sight. JSA 1896 marked stock and P marked proof on the underside of wrist. Antique, No FFL required and ships to buyers home. Condition: Antique, Very Good with light scratches, wood dings, finish wear/loss, cut down refinished wood to make carbine length and small wood crack at the tang and by saddle ring.
