Description Spreewerke (CYQ) P38 Chambered in 9mm with two, eight round removable magazines and a 4.9″ barrel. Manufactured in December 1943 with serial number 2389k. Blued steel frame with ribbed Bakelite grips and a heel magazine release. Blued double/single action trigger with serrated external hammer and slide mounted de-cocker/safety lever. Blued barrel and serrated slide. Rear U-notch and dorsal fin front blade iron sights. “cyq code and “P38” marked on the left side of the slide. Waffenamt “88” is marked on the left side of the frame, twice on the right side of the slide, and on the side of the barrel under the slide. Third Reich eagle proof mark on the right side of the slide. Matching barrel, frame, and slide (2389k). Number “9409” is scribed on the left side of the grip and right side of the slide. One of the magazines is marked “jvd”. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good/Very good with light wear from handling and use. Some light finish loss near the muzzle and on the high edges. Finish wear/patina on the front strap and trigger guard. A touch of metal oxidation on the front strap. The grips show a few light scratches. Very clean bore with strong rifling.
