Description Sporterized U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1898 Krag chambered in .30-40 Krag with a five round integral magazine capacity and a 20″ cut down barrel. Blued barrel, receiver, side loading flip out magazine, trigger, and trigger guard. Unfinished bolt with bolt flag safety. Smooth wood top forend and straight cut down stock with metal butt plate. Rear sling swivel. The original rear sight is missing and replaced with an adjustable William’s sight base that is also missing its rear sight. Beaded and ramped front blade sight. Must ship to FFL or C&R holder. Condition: Good having been Sporterized with a cut down barrel and stock, as well as a replaced rear sight. The finish shows scratches, varying spots of metal oxidation and patina, and some spots of finish loss. The rear top butt plate screw is missing.
