Description Sporterized BYF (Mauser) model 98 chambered in 8mm Mauser with a 24″ barrel. Smooth laminated wood butt plate. An original k98 laminate stock sanded down with slot for the sling and firing pin takedown plugged. Wrist has been checkered. Matching bolt, receiver, and mag plate match. Bottom of magazine assembly is not matching, marked with “Waffenamt 37 5492.” Third Reich Eagle on the left side of barrel and receiver. Right side of barrel marked “42.” Top of receiver has been cut to accommodate a scope mount. Leaf style rear sight added and front sight is missing from post. Sling mount points have been added to the stock and underside of barrel. Must ship to C&R or FFL holder. Condition: Good with minor wood chips towards the rear of the stock. Oxidation starts running up the barrel with more towards the muzzle. Bore is clean.
